COVER ART DESIGN CONTEST
CALL FOR ENTRIES

The International Latino Film Festival - San Francisco Bay Area is pleased to announce a design contest for the 10th Anniversary Festival (November 3-19, 2006). The winning design will become the face of this year’s Festival and be on the cover of our Festival Program Guide, on posters, postcards, t-shirts and more.

The winner will be awarded with:

• Participation at 10th ILFF Press Conference on October 18th, 2006.
• Work displayed throughout the Festival on program guides, posters, postcards, T-shirts, invitations, print ads, TV ads, trailers, website, etc.
• Artist’s bio/photo in the Festival Program Guide (25,000 circ.)
• Two all-access passes to Film Festival events.
• Domestic and international exposure through our newsletter and website to over 10,000 members.

This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to interpret the spirit of 10 years of the International Latino Film Festival - celebrating Latino culture and diversity through the richness and magic of film.

The Latino Film Festival showcases the best in new international Latino cinema from Latin America, Spain and the Latinos in the US. All films are subtitled in English.

Competition Rules

•  Entries must be submitted before 5:00PM July 10, 2006.

•  The contest is open to artists over 18 years old.

•  All entries must include a high-resolution digital image of the cover art in PDF, PS, or TIFF format.

•  Artist's signature, logo, company stamp or similar identifying mark, are only to be included on the back of submitted artwork.

•  The design must be easily translated to a variety of print materials such as 24" x 36" posters, t-shirts, newsprint ads, web, film, etc.

•  We will accept just a cover art image, or an image with the appropriate text. If you chose to write text, be sure to include the following information:

•  Submissions must be accompanied with a complete application form.

The printed souvenir program will be 8 1/2 "x 11". Submissions will be accepted at this size, though the winning image may be resized by ILFF for use in other media such as our poster (24" x 36").

Judging

The Jury will consist of a select group of film and media specialists. They will consider the overall impact of your work, the appropriateness of the subject matter as it relates to the festival, and how well your art can be reproduced as promotional material.
