Our ILFF 07 Festival Trailer "Eskeletos Crazy" was produced in Argentina by our Youth In Video program. Led by Esteban Gaggino and Marcela Ruidiaz, the program began by taking students on a journey back in time to learn about the various inventions that gave way to the birth of the moving image. By experimenting with early cinematic tools like the zoetrope, students learned about the origins and the first processes of filmmaking. The program leaders guided the creative process from scriptwriting to the final product, and the students worked on every aspect of the production from the initial storyboarding to the creation of the soundtrack. The curriculum was intended to allow the students to take the medium that they are used to “consuming” and use it as a tool to develop their creativity in a supportive environment where both individuality and the collective work of the group are essential. The final production, based on the “Día de los muertos” theme of the 11th Annual International Latino Film Festival is this year’s Festival trailer. We hope you enjoy it!!
